P.B. Dye Golf Club is located near the town of Ijamsville, Maryland and is, obviously, named after it's illustrious golf course architect. Here you'll find some of the familiar "Dye family touches", such as railroad ties and the willingness to shove around a lot of dirt during construction. You'll also find it to be one of the toughest publicly-playable courses in the region - as judged by Golf Digest in a recent survey. The course opened in 1999 and is located about 40 miles north of Washington, DC and a relatively short trip for the thousands of avid golfers in the Rockville and Gaithersburg areas of Maryland.
