The original Woods nine opened in 1926, designed by Robert Bruce Harris. The Meadow was built in 1966 and designed by W. Bruce Matthews. The Valley was completed in 1994 from a design by second-generation architect Jerry Matthews. Old Channel Trail is located on the shores of Lake Michigan about 20 miles northwest of Muskegon.
