Course Details
Virginia Beach National was originally created as one of courses owned and operated by the PGA Tour and was called "TPC of Virginia Beach". The course got it's current name when the tour divested itself of some of its courses. Virginia Beach National was designed by Pete Dye with some help from two-time U.S. Open Curtis Strange (a Virginia Beach native). The course hosts an annual stop on the Nationwide Tour. It's located deep in the heart of the city, but that actually puts it about 12 miles from the resort part of town. Still, most will find it worth the drive. You can find hotels near Virginia Beach National at TheRealPlaces.com. Virginia Beach National is 13.3 miles from downtown Norfolk.
