Course Details

The Links Course at Grand National is part of the famed Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail in Alabama. The Grand National complex (located just outside of Auburn in Opelika) includes two full-length courses and an 18-hole short course. The Links Course finishes with one of the most challenging holes on "The Trail", 471 yards with water along the left and an enormous green that can - no, will - make it a difficult two-putt if you don't make a good approach. Grand National is easy to get to, not far off of I-85 about halfway between Atlanta and Montgomery.  You can find hotels near Grand National -The Links Course at TheRealPlaces.com.

Garmin Approach S12 Golf Watch

This caddy on your wrist knows distances for over 42,000 courses. We doubt that Bones Mackay can even claim to have that much knowledge. And the Approach S12 is a bit cheaper than hiring Bones.
