Course Details

The Catalina and Sonoran courses provide 36 holes of great desert golf at the Omni Tucson National Resort, located on the north side of town about 2 miles off of I-10. The Catalina course was designed by Robert Van Hagge and Bruce Devlin and has hosted Tucson's PGA Tour event. The newer Sonoran course was designed by Tom Lehman and has fewer trees and more of a desert-style feel.

The Omni Tucson National Resort hotel is obviously the most convenient place to stay. It's not an enormous hotel, but very nice. The resort is about 20 miles north of the Tucson airport so a rental car is probably the way to go - that'll also give you easy access to the other great courses on this side of Tucson.  You can find hotels near Omni Tucson National Resort at TheRealPlaces.com.  Omni Tucson National Resort is 10.0 miles from downtown Tucson.

Balls can be expensive. There's nothing wrong with taking a few seconds to pull a ball or two out of one of those bleeping "penalty areas".
