Course Details

The Shoals is a 36 hole facility that's part of the famous Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail, a network of courses throughout Alabama. The two courses at The Shoals are called "Fighting Joe" and "The Schoolmaster". Fighting Joe can be a monster, stretching to over 8,000 from the tips. The Schoolmaster may be even a little tougher, if not quite as long ("only" 7,971 yards from the black tees). Don't be intimidated by those yardages, they can also play at around 6,100 yards from the white tees. A couple of holes border on the Wilson Lake of the Tennessee River. Beautiful courses and an outstanding bargain (green fees between $40 and $55 as of mid-2007).
